This Community Service activity was supported by 8 KKN (Real Work Lectures) students from 4 faculties of Diponegoro University (FPIK, FSM, FT, FEB). As explained by Sigit Febrianto, S.Kel., M.Si, the main activity of this service is the manufacture and installation of Perna viridis enlargement charts which are used for the cultivation and catching of green mussels. The cultivation of green mussels is different from the usual method, which is to attach a rope vertically to the bamboo to attach the green mussels. “This method is very effective in increasing the production capacity of Green Shellfish by up to 30%,” he said. In addition, activities were carried out such as financial digitization, making and sinking “fish apartments” from nurseries, and planting mangroves.

In addition, this team is also involved in the production of eco-enzymes for the reduction of heavy metals in Green Shells, producing and promoting IoT (Internet of things) based “tide meters”.

“We also support the development of the Kub Mitra Bahari website, making spatial maps in the Tambak Rejo mangrove area and the Green Shell Cultivation Area. As well as providing training and providing hydroponic cultivation equipment for food security,” he added.

The implementation of this community activity can run smoothly, of course, with the support of various parties including funders from LPPM, Diponegoro University, and the Community Leading Commodity Strengthening Scheme (PKUM).
