Semarang (10 November 2025) – Diponegoro University (Undip) has once again made a proud achievement through the 2025 Central Java Development Research Award event organised by the Regional Research and Innovation Agency (BRIDA) of Central Java Province. One of the recipients of the award is Sigit Febrianto, S.Kel., M.Si., a lecturer in the Undergraduate Programme in Water Resources Management, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK) at Undip.
He received the award in the Inclusive and Sustainable Regional Development Category after his work was deemed to have made a significant contribution to supporting science-based regional development, particularly in relation to coastal zone management and environmental conservation. BRIDA Central Java emphasised that this award is intended for researchers who are able to produce research solutions that can be implemented in local government policy.
This prestigious award is part of BRIDA’s efforts to strengthen cooperation between academics and the government, so that the resulting research does not only stop at scientific publications, but also becomes the basis for evidence-based policy making.
The Rector of Undip expressed his appreciation for this achievement and emphasised that Undip remains committed to encouraging its lecturers and researchers to produce relevant, innovative research that has an impact on sustainable development in Central Java and Indonesia.
This achievement is not only a source of pride for FPIK Undip, but also strengthens the position of Diponegoro University as a research university that actively contributes to solving regional development issues.
